Message from the 2020 Stewardship Chair

We’re heading into that time of year when we enjoy fall colors, cooler temperatures, and a month that starts with S and has 3 syllables:  Stewardship!  Since our 5-member team began meeting in February, much thought has gone into designing a stewardship campaign that will pull our Fellowship together and (we hope) result in a good financial base for us in 2020.

New this year are personal stewardship conversations, allowing you to meet one-on-one with a leader who has been educated in the direction our Fellowship is going. These conversations are part of the pledge campaign, but they are not meant to just focus on money.  Instead, they’ll give you a chance to share your thoughts about UUFoM and have your questions answered.  Our goal is to connect with as many members and pledging friends as possible in the first 3 weeks of September.  If you have not heard from a Conversation Steward by September 15, please contact me to request a conversation.

Our participation goal for this campaign is to receive pledge forms from 100% of our members and pledging friends. Our pledge goal is $177,636, (or $178,000 in round numbers). Later in this email, you’ll see two charts.  The first summarizes where our 2020 budget dollars are slated to be spent, while the second chart shows how the above pledge goal fits into our overall budget. (Spoiler alert: It comprises a whopping 83%!) Your pledges are critical to the ongoing operation of our Fellowship, and we look forward to your participation in the exciting “S” month ahead.
