HIGHLIGHTS OF JULY BOARD MEETING
We agreed to continue to review Governor Whitmer’s most recent report so that we can form ideas about what to do going forward, which numbers to look at to make decisions about safety. We’re looking for at least one medical professional to consult with to help us make good decisions.
RE and Worship will go ahead with their plans for virtual programs in the fall.
Our financial health is good and income is higher than budget.
Building and Grounds have proceeded with some of their plans: trees that were too close to the building were taken down, and the roof was repaired. There has been some vandalism in the grounds – a police report will be made.
HIGHLIGHTS OF AUGUST BOARD MEETING
Financial picture still looks good, typical inflow of pledges for July.
We have used up the PPP loan by continuing to pay all salaries, as required.
Things are on track for the pledge drive to begin in September.
Concern expressed about some members drifting away; we hope it’s just the normal summer dispersal and will end when Eric is back and people are home from summer activities.
Beth and Shannon plan to attend Virtual Midwest Leadership School in the coming months.
Eric has decided that we should hold his ordination virtually, perhaps in September. Plans to come.
HIGHLIGHTS OF EXTRA MEETING 9/1
We worked on plans for our first virtual annual business meeting, and on the form we have to submit for Eric’s preliminary fellowshipping.
