Our virtual annual meeting was held on Sunday, October 31, at 12:30pm. Beth Sperry, board president, opened the meeting. Fifty-two members and proxies were checked in and a quorum (31) was met and announced by Board Secretary Shannon Sonoras. President-Elect Sasha King read our UUFoM Covenant. Sara Clavez was introduced as parliamentarian.
Rev. Eric Severson shared with us his minister report, which you can find in our 2021 Annual Report. Next, Christina VanPoucker shared the report from the Committee on Ministry.
Beth Sperry relayed thoughts from her President’s Report which you can read in full in our 2021 Annual Report. Tim Wagner, treasurer, then shared information from the treasurer’s report. Alisha Toyzan, stewardship chair, followed up with the good news that UUFoM officially made (and have subsequently surpassed) our pledge goal. Well done!
Beth thanked former Buildings & Ground Chair Patricia Calahan for her service to the fellowship. Jim Falender then shared a report from the Endowment Committee.
Jon Van Regenmorter (Nominating Committee member) introduced the incoming slate of officers for a vote:
• Tom Bailey – President-Elect
• Chris Nakamura – Secretary
• Lisa Janetski – Member-At-Large
• Janelle Dombek – Nominating Committee
We used the Poll feature offered by Zoom for our voting. Voting Guidelines were explained by Office Administrator Wendy Altmeier, and a sample poll was introduced.
The Slate of Officers was unanimously approved.
Tim Wagner delivered the 2022 Proposed Budget. The budget was unanimously approved.
Chris Nakamura shared this year’s recipient of the Unsung Hero Award – our very own Sandy Hay. Sandy was instrumental (see what I did there?) in keeping the choir singing throughout the longest year ever. Please take the time to congratulate Sandy when you see him!
Questions and comments from the members can be viewed below in the embedded YouTube video. The meeting was adjourned at 2:00pm.
