We are excited to introduce the Soul Matters curriculum for the 2023-2024 year!
This year’s main theme is “The Gifts of Our Faith”. We’ll focus on ten beloved UU values and explore their potential to shape us and, in turn, shape the world.
We will get at such questions as:
- How do these values offer us both challenge and comfort?
- What might it mean to place them at the center of our living and loving?
- What promise do they hold for us individually as well as collectively?
Each month focuses on a different type of gift with more specific themes and activities planned out for each week. Each theme is the same across grades levels pre-K to grade 5, with alterations or additions to the activities and materials. Weekly themes and activities will also be updated on the RE bulletin board in the lobby for easy access.
Students grades 6-12 are always welcome! The teen hangout room is undergoing some upgrades that will make it a fun and inviting place to engage. The Soul Matters Curriculum will follow a similar theme for our older students with self-guided activities and discussion. Teen activities and event information to follow.
Jennifer Page, Director of Religious Education, would love to meet with parents individually (virtually or in-person) to talk about expectations and goals for this year. Please email her at dre@uufom.org to schedule an appointment.
She looks forward to working with everyone this year!
New and returning families, please enroll your family for the upcoming year.
