As Americans we define so much about our identities through what we do for a living, but how do we decide which forms of labor are highly valued, which are not and how does that valuation compare with the real impacts of different forms of labor? These questions intersect immediately with questions of classism, racial justice, gender equality and environmental justice. They also intersect with each of our personal journeys to create and live lives of meaning and value. In this service, member Chris Nakamura will share reflections on labor contextualized within the framework of our UU values.
